Victory Pig Pizza and BBQ’s owner, Richard L. Ceccoli, explained why the popular restaurant is closing. Victory Pig Pizza and BBQ has been open since 1942.
“I’m old enough that it’s time for the pizza rag to go in the pile.” “Now is the time,” Ceccoli said.
From the time he was 15, Ceccoli has worked at the restaurant.
The land has already been bought, but Ceccoli doesn’t know when the restaurant will close for good because it depends on the buyer.
Since it first opened in 1942, Victory Pig has been serving pizza to beloved customers.
Cedario says that his mother and father owned the business and then gave it to him.
He quickly learned that running the restaurant would be a lot more work than he thought when he first took it over.
“They don’t know how much it costs to make a pizza pie.” We make everything from scratch here, so we’re making it all day to get it ready to bake tonight.
“We worked on the product all the time; we were here until midnight making pizza for our frozen deliveries,” Cesccoli said.
Despite the fact that running the restaurant has always been hard, he says that his loyal customers and dedicated staff have made it fun.
There’s been a restaurant where Tara Consoli has worked for 25 years. She says she’ll miss the customers the most when it closes.
“My clients are great.” I really appreciate them, and may God bless them. These people are my loyal customers; some of them come from out of state.
They are my family. “When I leave, I cry because I’ll miss everyone so much,” Consoli said.
