U.S. GOVERNMENT CONFIRMS Third Payment for Americans Receiving Both SSI and Social Security

The Federal Government has promised to make a payment to Social Security recipients before the end of November. This check or direct deposit will only go to people who have already applied for and been approved for Supplemental Security Income. In other words, it will be the second SSI check that the Agency has planned for November.

The SSI payment will be a check or direct deposit for December, but it will be sent early. We won’t have to wait this way. There’s a chance that banks wouldn’t be able to process the payment until the next business day if it had been set for December 1, 2024.

There will not be a bonus or extra payment in November, but some people who are eligible will get three payments that month. Don’t forget that SSI was given out on November 1, 2024.

The Social Security Administration sent out the checks and direct deposits to people’s bank accounts on the same day if they were eligible for the payment on the 3rd. Because November 3 was a Sunday, the payment was sent out on November 1.

Because some low-income Americans can get both SSI and retirement or SSDI, they got two checks on November 3, 2024. Then, the December 1 SSI payment will be sent to them on November 29, 2024. This will be their third payment in the same month.

A lot of people who get SSI may get their payments cut if they have other jobs that pay. As a result, they will not be able to get the maximum amounts.

One example is the payment for people 65 and older, which is about $574. While everyone who gets SSI gets about $697 a month from Social Security.
