Two teenagers were arrested for the murder of a 38-year-old Indianapolis man

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Police Department made the announcement on Friday that they had arrested two juvenile boys who they believe are responsible for the death of a man who was 38 years old.

On September 15, just before 7 o’clock in the evening, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a gunshot that had taken place at the Westbury Court Apartments, which are located on Beverly Hills Drive. That is located on the northwest part of the city.

Jerry Thompson Jr., 38 years old, was discovered by law enforcement police inside the common corridor of an apartment complex soon after their arrival.

A minimum of one shot had been fired at Thompson, and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.

The two “persons of interest,” who were ultimately identified as the suspects, were discovered in close proximity to the site and taken into custody.

They were questioned, and then they were freed pending the outcome of the investigation.

As a result of what the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) referred to as a “relentless investigation” on Friday, warrants for murder were issued.

A SWAT team and officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit identified and detained the adolescent suspects on Thursday.

Due to the fact that they are so young, their names have not been made public.

After conducting an investigation into the matter, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will decide whether or not to file charges.
