The Social Security payment schedule for March 2025 is about to expire, so households in the United States will have to wait until April to receive one of the new retirement checks. So, if you receive a disability payment, you may have to wait a week or more for the new check.
However, many other Disability beneficiaries may still receive payments in March, as some Group 4 retirees are expecting their retirement checks. So, check the payment schedule because your Social Security payment may be on its way or you may have to wait a little longer.
April 3rd Disability Payments
It is possible to receive one of these disability payments on April 3rd, but only if we meet a mandatory requirement. This requirement is what links retirees to group 1, so if we do not meet it, we will be unable to receive this payment and will have to wait a little longer.
Regardless, the most important thing is to meet the requirement on April 3rd, which is to have the benefit accepted prior to May 1997.

If you have been retired since before that month, the payment on the third will be deposited into your current account. And it makes no difference whether your benefit is for disability or not, because all group 1 retirees receive the same payment.
In terms of amount, disability payments of up to $4,018 are expected in 2025, making it possible to receive such a large sum, but only if you have previously maximized your benefits. Each beneficiary receives a different payment, so we must consider this when creating our monthly budget.
More disability payments in April 2025
Following the payment on the 3rd, which is only for group 1 retirees, the Social Security Administration will make additional payments throughout the month of April.
The payments will be sent on the 9th, 16th, and 23rd of each month. If you accepted payment but your benefit is due after May 1997, you will receive it on one of those days.
Remember that without Direct Deposit, payments do not arrive on the same day they are sent, but rather take a few days to appear.
As a result, choose your collection method carefully, as there may be a delay of up to three days in receiving your Disability check. The bank can also delay payment, but with Direct Deposit, this is usually not an issue.
