The USDA has announced when it will pay people in the US who get SNAP benefits in October. Some people who get food stamps started getting money on their EBT cards on October 1.
South Dakota and Maine will not send Food Stamps until October 10. Even though they both send SNAP benefits from that date on, the way they do it is different. Maine will have five payments, but South Dakota will only have one for everyone who is qualified.
SNAP payments in South Dakota
If you live in South Dakota and are eligible for SNAP benefits, you only need to know that your money will be on your EBT card on October 10.
Other people in Texas who get food stamps need to check their case number, Social Security number, or even their Eligibility Determination Group. The largest amount that can be paid is the same as in the 48 states that are next to each other. Here is the whole list:

- 1 person can get up to $292
- 2 recipients can get up to $536
- 3 recipients can get up to $768
- 4 recipients can get up to $975
- 5 recipients can get up to $1,158
- 6 recipients can get up to $1,390
- 7 recipients can get up to $1,536
- 8 recipients can get up to $1,756
- Each additional beneficiary can get $220 extra
SNAP payments in Maine
Also, on October 10, the state of Maine will begin sending Food Stamps, but they will keep going out until October 14. Five different pay cheques will be sent out.
You need to know when your birth day ends in order to be eligible for one. You also need to apply and be approved. For instance, if it ends in 0 or 9, you will get your SNAP money on October 10.
- If your birth date ends in 1 or 8, benefits will be issued on the 11th of the month.
- If your birth date ends in 2 or 3, benefits will be available on the 12th of the month.
- If your birth date ends in 4 or 7, benefits will be distributed on the 13th of the month.
- If your birth date ends in 5 or 6, benefits will be provided on the 14th of the month.
