Sister who was paid to take care of brother with developmental disabilities was accused of abusing him

A woman paid to care for her developmentally disabled brother has been accused of abusing him.

Deborah Meier, 69, has been charged with patient endangerment and domestic violence.

Her brother, who lives in Forest Park, went to Jewish Hospital on September 4th.

According to court documents, the doctor notices suspicious injuries and bruises while performing a physical exam.

The doctor told deputies that the victim became tearful and indicated that Meier was abusing him, saying several times, “she socks me.”
