A dump truck was involved in a rear-end accident in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, on Thursday morning. One driver was hurt, and both drivers were given tickets.
The accident took place on Three Notch Road near Carpenter Lane on October 24, 2024, at about 1:15 a.m. When the police arrived, they saw a car off the road that had hit a dump truck from behind. Two patients were checked out by EMS on the spot.
The driver of the dump truck was taken to UM Charles Regional Medical Center to get help. The driver of the car that hit the pedestrian refused to get any more help.
Initial reports say that the driver of the car that hit the other one was given tickets for not controlling his or her speed to avoid an accident and not following another car at a safe distance.
The event is being looked into by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
