Indiana police are conducting an investigation into a gunshot that resulted in the death of one individual and the injury of ten others.
When officers were called to the 4900 block of Manistee Drive, which is located off of Stellhorn Road, the Fort Wayne Police Department said that they responded.
On Saturday night, multiple callers reported hearing shots being fired and saw people running in all directions, according to the WPTA.
Officers arrived on the site and discovered one individual had been shot and killed, as well as numerous others who appeared to have been injured.
According to the police, they are aware of ten people who have been hurt, and they believe that all of them are in conditions that are not considered to be life-threatening.
The identities of the victims, as well as their ages, have not been made public.
Initial evidence and reports from witnesses indicate that the incident occurred during a party that was being held at a high school, according to the police.
A number of people who were attending the party were struck, and one of them was deceased at the scene.

Because we are attempting to come to terms with the violence that took place in our city the night before, my heart is heavy today.
A lot of effort is being put in by the Fort Worth Police Department to find out more about what took place and to bring those guilty to justice.
In order to help ensure that Fort Wayne has a brighter future, it is essential that our community ensures its own safety and security.
As residents and neighbors, I pray that we will join together as a single group and refuse to tolerate behavior of this nature.
It has been stated by the police that they do not know the number of suspects that were involved in the shooting at this time.
This incident is still being looked into by authorities.
