Police chase leads to Greater Cincinnati school lockdown and officer injury

Ross Township, Ohio (WKRC) A man was apprehended after a police chase in Butler County on Thursday morning. The chase resulted in a lockdown at Ross Local Schools.

Ross Police intercepted the car that was wanted out of Boone County shortly before 9 a.m.

Police say the three people inside jumped out and fled. While attempting to arrest the driver, an officer suffered a minor injury.

The school system was placed on lockdown for “an abundance of caution.”

The driver was apprehended following a chase. Raul Jiminez, 28, was accused with resisting arrest, impeding government business, and driving without a license. All are misdemeanors.

The two passengers remain on the run.
