An Ohio Sheriff has made headlines yet again, this time for defending Tesla truck owners and calling out those who damage their vehicles.

In a Facebook video posted this week, Butler County Sheriff Jones stood next to a veteran who owns a Tesla Cybertruck and delivered a direct message.

I don’t care who you are. If you come to Butler County or live here and think you’re going to scratch or damage these Tesla trucks, you’ve made a terrible, terrible mistake.”

Jones also targeted what he called hypocrites, referring to people who vandalize Tesla trucks but would call the police if they needed assistance from the same Tesla owners defending their property.

He went on to say that targeting someone based solely on the type of vehicle they drive is un-American, especially if that person is a veteran.

This is America. We’re free to own any kind of vehicle we want.”

The sheriff then pointed to a green street sign leaning against the Tesla truck that read “Elon Musk Lane” and announced his intention to name a street near the sheriff’s office after the Tesla and SpaceX CEO.

While the video did not mention any specific cases of vandalism or charges, the sheriff’s message was clear: leave these trucks alone or you could end up in jail.

“Shame on these crazy folks, these little fat people that live in their mom’s basement and wears their mom’s pajamas, and they think their real brave until them come to jail,” the sheriff said at the clip’s conclusion.

Sheriff Jones is no stranger to making bold statements. He’s been elected six times and is known for his cowboy hat, sharp wit, and unwavering support for former President Donald Trump. He frequently expresses his opinions on social media and uses his platform to address conservative talking points.

Jones previously faced criticism for posting a sign outside the county jail that read “Illegal Aliens Here.” When a petition to take it down began, he responded by encouraging people to sign it, stating that he believes in free speech and allowing people to be heard, even if they disagree with him.

Jones’ new video adds support for Tesla owners to his list of public stances, sending a clear message to anyone who considers damaging private property.

“These people think they’re real brave damaging Tesla trucks. Until they end up in jail.”
