DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN)— Dozens of men of the Ohio National Guard are being deployed.
According to a release, around 60 members of the Ohio Army National Guard’s 324th Military Police Company will participate with Operation Spartan Shield. OANG reports that this company is situated in Middletown.
“While deployed, the unit will provide law enforcement investigation support to U.S. Central Command,” according to the announcement. “These operations enhance deterrence and increase readiness of U.S. forces in the region.”
The public is invited to attend a call of duty ceremony for soldiers who are being deployed.
The ceremony will take place at Franklin Junior High School on February 15 at 1 p.m.
