There is an outbreak that is resulting in numerous hospitalizations and a dozen deaths, and Missouri has now joined the list of states affected by this ongoing sickness.
If you live in Missouri, you should be aware that you may have been affected by some contaminated shakes that were part of an FDA recall and are suspected of causing the spread of listeria. The CDC provided this map, which shows that Missouri is now seeing sicknesses as a result of these shakes.
According to the FDA, the following shakes should be avoided if purchased in Missouri recently.

If you notice you have these shakes, do not consume them. If you have contracted a disease linked to them, you should contact the FDA and/or the CDC. These affected shakes are bad news, and the outbreak doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
