Milwaukee Weather Alert: 1″ Snow Possible in Fond du Lac, Sheboygan Areas by Noon Monday

Milwaukee, WI – A quick burst of snow could cause minor traffic delays in east-central Wisconsin early Monday morning, particularly in Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties.

According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee, snow is expected to begin around 1 a.m. Monday, peak between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m., and subside by 1 p.m.

The heaviest amounts are expected northeast of Milwaukee, with Sheboygan having a 54% chance of more than 1 inch and Fond du Lac having 48%. Slushy conditions are expected during the morning commute.

Much of southeastern Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Racine, and Waukesha, will experience lighter snowfall, with minor accumulations primarily on grassy surfaces.

Commuters should plan ahead of time because roads may become slick for a short period of time, particularly in colder low-lying areas or on untreated roads.

Snow will begin wet and slushy before gradually drying out as the system moves east. Areas such as Janesville and Monroe are expected to receive little or no snow, with an accumulation chance of less than 1%.

Drivers should slow down, allow more time for travel, and keep an eye out for local advisories. This snowstorm is expected to be brief, but it could still disrupt Monday morning routines in affected counties.
