Some seniors are set to receive their final Social Security payout in November. Others, however, are eligible for this month’s final paycheck. If you receive retirement benefits but do not qualify for a check or direct deposit on November 1, 13, or 20, your next payment date is the fourth Wednesday.
The Social Security Administration‘s payment schedule has revealed that November 27 will be the last day to receive retirement payments. In fact, it will be two days before Black Friday. This is wonderful news for those hoping to go shopping on Friday, November 29.
Who can receive Social Security 2 days before Black Friday?
This fourth monthly payment will only be for retirees who:
- Do not qualify or are not receiving SSI benefits
- Started collecting monthly payments as retirees after April 30, 1997
- Were born after the 20th, regardless of the month (21-31)
For your knowledge, this is the final retirement payout in November. Nevertheless, Social Security had to reschedule the December 1 SSI payout. Thus, all SSI recipients will receive their cheques or direct deposits on November 29, two days after retirees.
Fortunately, individuals who need SSI money to take advantage of Black Friday deals, offers, and discounts will receive it on Friday, November 29.
Do you qualify for a Social Security of $1,924?
The November 27 payment date will result in checks totaling up to $4,873. However, the average amount will only be $1,924. Of course, this is only one example of how a payment may look.
Many retirees will receive significantly smaller payments. If you got your Social Security payment on November 1, your next payday is December 3, 2024.
The average $1,924 in Social Security payouts does not include the 2025 COLA rise. Retirees will get it on January 3, 8, 15, or 22. Only SSI recipients will receive it in 2024. The SSI payment for January 2025 will be issued on December 31, 2024.
