On November 20, a lot of disabled Americans will be able to get SSDI benefits. You must have been born between November 11th and December 20th, though, among other requirements set by Social Security.
In this case, you must have been getting benefits, but only after April 30, 1997, not before. One more important requirement is that you cannot be getting Supplemental Security Income. In other words, SSI payments. What if, though, you did not get SSDI on November 20, 2024?
Not eligible for SSDI on November 20?
You might not get Social Security Disability Insurance on November 20 because you don’t qualify for this payment. Say you meet all the requirements for the payment on November 20 except your birth date. You might get it on November 27.
People whose birthday is between November 21 and November 31 will not get another SSDI payment after November 27. Don’t forget that if you get Supplemental Security Income, your next payment is due on November 29. There will be no SSI check on December 1. Instead, there will be one on November 29.
Bear in mind that December 1 is a holiday and that the SSA offices are closed that day. People who get SSDI and also get SSI or Social Security could also get their payment on December 3, 2024. Also, if you were getting benefits before May 1997, it will be your pay day.
Who will collect an SSDI payment worth $1,542 from Social Security?
For SSDI, this is how much you will usually get paid. That means you might not get this exact amount. In fact, your SSDI payment in November or December could be more or less than $1,542.
That will depend on how you’ve filed and worked in the past. Some wealthy people can get up to $3,822 on November 20 or November 27. In order to do it, they must:
- have had jobs that paid taxes to Social Security
- have earned the taxable maximum (contribution and benefit base) for 35 years
- work for 35 years
- file as late as SSA allows
For late or missing payments report it to SSA after 3 mailing days.
