The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) has announced that SNAP, or former Food Stamps, payments will end in December.
For example, Texas and Florida will provide benefits until December 28, 2024. The 48 contiguous states do not provide the highest benefit payments under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
However, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the United States Virgin Islands provide the highest Food Stamp payments in December.
However, Alaska, Hawaii, and the United States Virgin Islands have already issued all of their benefits. As a result, the largest SNAP benefit payment will arrive in Guam during December.
SNAP paydays and eligibility in Guam
While the 48 contiguous states will issue SNAP benefits of up to $292 per person, Guam will provide Food Stamps worth $431 for just one person. A family of four and eight can receive up to $1,437 and $2,588 in Guam, respectively.
Guam has an easy system for determining when your next SNAP payment will be made. Benefits will be issued based on your Social Security number. For example, if it ends in 8, your Food Stamps will appear on your EBT card on December 8th.
