A scorned lover upset about her now ex-boyfriend’s “multiple relationships” with her and another woman allegedly turned violent when she ran him over with her Range Rover in Florida .
And this was after she was accused of chucking eggs at his car and dousing it with ketchup and mustard.
Yoshabelle Edouard, 19, is charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm. According to the probable cause arrest affidavit, deputies from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office met with the victim, 20-year-old Kervens S. Saintil, on Friday.
He informed deputies that he was having “multiple relationships” with Edouard and another woman. Earlier that day, Saintil accused Edouard of egging his car and smothering it with condiments.
“I see egg and I’m like, no way, not my car,” Saintil told Fort Myers’ NBC affiliate WBBH.
Later, Saintil, his other lover, and a couple of friends were walking around his apartment complex in Punta Gorda when they noticed Edouard in her white Range Rover.
She turned the corner and made a beeline for Saintil, police say. He attempted to evade the vehicle, but Edouard allegedly struck him.
He skipped up to the front of the Rover and landed on the windshield, shattering it. Police said Saintil suffered multiple lacerations on his right side, including his arm, shoulder, and hip.
He told the TV station that Edouard was “flying over the speed bumps” toward him.
“Before you know it, I’m seeing black and I’m on the floor,” he told me. “My body literally flew in the air.”
Saintil noted the size of the vehicle that struck him.
“It’s by a Range Rover,” he explained. “Not no sedan, a Range Rover!”
Saintil’s new girlfriend claimed Edouard was not speeding, but was “driving fast enough to try and hurt” Saintil. The victim’s friends provided similar accounts. In an interview with detectives, Edouard stated that she and Saintil had a “on again, off again sexual relationship.”
According to the affidavit, she became upset after hearing Saintil and the other woman talking about her. Edouard stated that she and the other woman were on the phone while inspecting the damaged food items.
According to Edouard, her ex was “full of energy” and “jumped onto her vehicle” as she drove by. She allegedly stated that she “did not intend to stop or slow down.”
Police arrested her and transported her to the Charlotte County Jail. She has since bonded out and has a court date set for March 10.
Saintil summarized the ordeal.
Saintil admitted to WBBH that the incident was motivated by hatred. “My previous relationship with her did not work. I’m guessing she learned about [the] new girl.
