The most you can get in SSI payments right now depends on what kind of recipient you are. One married couple who is eligible can get up to $1,415 in 2024.

Supplemental Security Income payments will go up by 2.5% when the January 2025 payments are sent out. That means a married couple who is eligible will get up to $1,450.

The amount of money a person on SSI can get will go up from $943 to $967 in 2025. People who are needed can get up to $484 in 2025 and up to $472 in 2024.

That being said, the average payment for seniors aged 65 and up in November 2024 is $575. Because of this, this group of recipients will get $589 before 2025.

SSI will be due on December 31, 2024

December 31, 2024, is when the next SSI payment for January 2025 will be sent to clients’ bank accounts. To be clear, this is not an extra payment. It is one of the 12 checks for 2025.

In fact, it will get there 24 hours early because January 1 is a Federal Holiday (New Year’s). Because federal holidays can’t be pay days, the money has to be sent out one day before it’s due.

It’s no surprise that the February SSI payment is due on January 31, 2025. Since February 1 is a Saturday, the Supplemental Security Income payment will be sent during the week instead of on the weekend.
