MONTICELLO, Florida — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested Greyton Rodriguez Rocha, a 32-year-old illegal alien from Nicaragua, on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material and illegally using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
A young child was also rescued from his home, according to the FDLE. The arrest is part of the FDLE’s statewide efforts to locate and apprehend criminals who target children, in cooperation with federal, state, and local law enforcement to combat illegal immigration.
The investigation began last week, when ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Tallahassee asked agents to help execute a federal search warrant at Rocha’s home.
On February 12, during the warrant service, FDLE agents discovered multiple devices in Rocha’s possession, which are currently being forensically examined by law enforcement.
Rocha was arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Jail without incident, according to the FDLE. As the investigation continues, the United States Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with the Office of the State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit, is evaluating all appropriate charges.
The case is being investigated by FDLE agents from the Tallahassee Regional Operations Center and ICE HSI Tallahassee, with assistance from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation continues.
