Final decision on transgender athletes is made by the college team

The University of Nevada women’s volleyball team made it clear earlier this month that they wanted to play transgender player Blaire Fleming from San Jose State. The team seemed to have no problem playing against a transgender opponent.

That said, they made a final choice this week that was very different from what they said before.

Nevada made its final decision on the situation public this week in a statement that said the team would not play against San Jose State and Blaire Fleming. The school will instead lose.

As a show of support for the volleyball teams at Southern Utah University, Boise State University, the University of Wyoming, and Utah State University, the University of Nevada Reno women’s team forfeited their match against San Jose State University. The team wrote this in an exclusive statement to OutKick.

“We want our right to be safe and play fairly on the court to be respected.” We won’t play in any game that supports unfair treatment of female sports.

Before making this choice, the school said in a statement that the team would play its game against San Jose State as planned.

Nevada is the fifth team to have to forfeit a game against San Jose State because Fleming was on the team.

Nevada clearly doesn’t want transgender women to play sports for women.
