Police body camera footage shows cops in Hartford, Connecticut, processing a woman after her arrest in a killing that occurred thousands of miles away.
Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez, 42, is charged with second-degree murder in Florida for allegedly killing her still-missing roommate, Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco, 42.
The Orlando Police Department stated that Victoria-Gonzalez reported the victim missing on December 27, 2022. Officers responded to the 6200 block of Curry Ford Road around 1:30 p.m. that day.
Victoria-Gonzalez allegedly claimed she hadn’t seen Medina-Pacheco since Christmas, but authorities say her story doesn’t add up.
“As the investigation continued, detectives discovered numerous inconsistencies in the version of events as described by Victoria-Gonzalez,” Orlando police said in a statement.
“A search warrant was executed at their residence, where significant evidence was recovered, indicating a violent incident had occurred.”
Victoria-Gonzalez was eventually located and interviewed by authorities in Hartford, 1,200 miles from Orlando.
After determining that there was sufficient evidence to support probable cause, police arrested her on November 6, 2024, the date of the body camera footage.
On the video, Victoria-Gonzalez indicates that she speaks little English, and instructions are given to her in Spanish via a police translator.
Meanwhile, Medina-Pacheco is missing.
