San Antonio, TX – A windy and cool Monday is sweeping across South-Central Texas, with gusts of up to 40 mph from Austin to San Antonio.
The National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio office predicts northwest to north winds ranging from 15 to 25 mph with occasional gusts of 30 to 40 mph throughout the day.
Temperatures are expected to be cooler than usual, with mid-50s in the Hill Country and low 70s in the southern Rio Grande Plains.
High temperatures in Kerrville, Fredericksburg, and Llano will range from the 50s to the low 60s, while San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Pleasanton will reach the mid-60s. Aside from gusty winds, the region will remain dry.
The winds may cause minor travel disruptions, especially for high-profile vehicles on north-south highways such as I-35. Residents are advised to secure any loose outdoor items and exercise caution in open areas.
The week ahead appears warm and dry, with sunny skies and gradually rising temperatures through Friday. Morning lows will be in the 40s and 50s, providing a cool start to otherwise clear skies across the region.
