An investigation is underway into six heat-related deaths in Santa Clara County

Six deaths that may have been caused by the recent heat wave are being looked into by Santa Clara County.

The county medical examiner-coroner said that six of the people who died during the October heat wave may have died from being too hot. However, the investigations are still going on and the results may not be known for up to 60 days.

In July, the county said that nine deaths were caused by the heat.

There has been a heatwave in Santa Clara County and other towns in the Bay Area. Temperatures have reached the 100s.

The National Weather Service put out a heat warning for the area that lasts until Monday at 11 p.m.
