HAMILTON, Mont. — Following an alleged shooting that took place in the 800 block of Grantsdale Road in Hamilton, a male who is twenty years old was taken into custody on Thursday morning.
According to the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office, Nicholas John Demchak, who resides in Missoula, is suspected of firing a rifle with a caliber of.22 at a certain residence located in the area.
According to the affidavit, deputies discovered 10 bullet holes on the west side of the residence. These rounds caused damage to the windows as well as a sliding glass door.
Further investigation revealed the discovery of bullet casings at three other residences that were in the suspect’s line of fire.
That Demchak had worked with them in the past was something that the victim disclosed to police authorities.
It has been determined that the gunfire did not result in any injuries, and there is currently no threat to the community.
The charges against Demchak include attempted purposeful homicide, criminal endangerment, two counts of intimidation, resisting arrest, criminal trespass to property, criminal mischief, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and possession of a child.
