A woman was murdered when a propane tank exploded in an RV on Lake Conroe on Thursday

The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating after a 60-year-old lady was discovered dead in an RV after a propane tank explosion in Lake Conroe late Thursday.

According to incident Marshal Jimmy Williams, personnel from the North Montgomery County Fire Department responded to the incident at the Willis RV Park on Cude Cemetery Road around 11:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they saw the RV completely engulfed in flames. As rescuers worked to put out the fire, they located the woman inside the little shelter.

The Willis RV Park has around 56 sites, climate-controlled storage apartments, boat storage, and nine weekly-stay cabins.

Williams stated that the fire is still being investigated, pending postmortem results.

The victim’s name has yet to be released by authorities.
