People in Massachusetts keep seeing businesses come and go. As everyone knows, people’s shopping and dining out habits have changed over the last few years.
Prices have also gone up in many places, like stores and restaurants, making it hard for people to spend money on things that aren’t necessary.
Friendly’s is a restaurant that has closed and had fewer items on its menu. The family restaurant closed its Greenfield location not long ago, after 42 years of business. There will now be a Starbucks there.
The Greenfield Friendly’s at 200 Mohawk Trail shut down in September. Starbucks will take its place.
It’s been a few weeks since I went to the doctor in Springfield. On my way home, I stopped at Riverdale Street in West Springfield.
Sitting down to eat wasn’t going to happen for me since I was by myself, but I was thrilled to see that the Friendly’s on Riverdale Street was “open for breakfast.”
I told my wife about this because I thought she would like to go there the next time we were in the area, since the Pittsfield Friendly’s doesn’t serve breakfast anymore (or at least it didn’t the last time I checked). It is closest to our house to eat at the Pittsfield.
The Friendly’s at 1094 Riverdale Street in West Springfield, MA is now closed for good. Chick-fil-A will take its place.
Our family will miss being able to eat breakfast at the Friendly’s on Riverdale Street in West Springfield because it just closed and will be replaced by a Chick-fil-A. We’ll have to find another Friendly’s in the Bay State for breakfast.
There are still 24 Friendly’s in Massachusetts. By going here, you can find the place that is closest to you.
