This man has been charged with animal cruelty after a Florida homeowner found a box containing two severed cat heads. The box was placed in their mailbox, prompting the homeowners to contact law enforcement. It appears that Florida is only getting crazier.
According to People, the shocking discovery prompted police to respond to the Bonita Springs home on March 13. Because of the gravity of the situation, the animal cruelty task force was also called in to assist.
Officers assured the public that the investigation was conducted using “state-of-the-art” technology, such as license plate readers. This is when police discovered a Florida man, Robert James Luther, fishing in a nearby area.
However, Luther refused to cooperate with the cops and refused to answer any questions. However, after some investigation, police discovered plenty of evidence to arrest Luther.
Disturbing cell phone video links Robert to the crime, as the man recalls the deceased felines. After Robert James Luther’s mugshot was released, many social media users appeared to think he was “a very scary looking individual.”

“Heinous, violent acts, especially toward innocent animals, is beyond unacceptable, and any offender will face severe consequences to the fullest extent of the law,” Sheriff Carmine Marceno said in the LCSO’s official statement.
Carmine Marceno, the Lee County Sheriff, went on to say that multiple officers worked together to bring this sick man to justice. Carmine also expressed relief that they were able to bring Robert in before he could harm anything or anyone else.
The abuse and murder of incident animals is a quick way to get in trouble with the law. However, that was insufficient to deter Mr. Luther. It is currently unknown whether Robert has legal representation who can comment on his behalf. However, Robert has maintained radio silence since the incident.
It is very clear that Robert James Luther is a sick individual. However, now that he has had his little run-in with law enforcement officers, we wait to see what the courts decide about his twisted crime.
