A Berkshire County man faces up to five years in jail for assaulting a two-year-old

After being found guilty of assaulting a kid who was just two years old, a man from Berkshire County was given a sentence of between four and five years in jail.

It was determined that Michael Langlois III, who resides in Adams, was responsible for the assault and battery of a child that resulted in significant bodily injury, as well as the reckless endangerment of a child.

As reported by NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle, the prosecution stated that Langlois became enraged with a kid who was two years old and was riding in his vehicle.

He then squeezed the girl, causing her to sustain internal injuries.

According to the newspaper, Langlois chose to forego his right to a trial by jury and instead chose to have Judge Maureen Hogan decide his consequences.

He is required to serve a probationary period of three years following the completion of his prison sentence, during which he will be required to attend counseling sessions for substance abuse and anger management.
