Santa Ana Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder After Girlfriend Found Dead

An individual from Santa Ana has been brought into jail in connection with the death of his girlfriend, which has been deemed suspicious.

The Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) disclosed that on Wednesday afternoon, at around 2:30 p.m., they were sent to an apartment complex located on the 1000 block of W. MacArthur Boulevard in response to a report of a death that was deemed to be suspicious.

Officers found the body of Amy Magpoc, who was 29 years old, inside a bedroom when they arrived on the scene. According to a post that was made on Instagram by the Santa Ana Police Department, the Orange County Coroner’s Office determined that the death was a matter of homicide.

The investigation led to the identification of Daniel Lynch, the deceased person’s lover, as the person responsible for the crime. Lynch, who is 33 years old, was taken into custody in San Bernardino.

There was evidence that led to Lynch being identified and then caught, according to the South African Police Department (SAPD). “During the investigation, officers learned from witness interviews that Amy resided at the location with her boyfriend,” the SAPD stated.

The Los Angeles television station CBS said that Lynch was “taken into custody without incident” and that he has since been booked on suspicion of murder conviction.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have information that could be relevant to the investigation to come forward as they continue their efforts to completely untangle the background of this tragedy.
