A group of protesters reportedly confronted Vice President JD Vance near his home in Ohio’s Walnut Hills neighborhood.

Vance detailed the incident in a post on X, where protestors followed him as he walked with his 3-year-old daughter.

“Today, while walking my 3-year-old daughter, a group of “Slava Ukraini” protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared,” the vice president wrote in the post.

Vance says he approached the protestors hoping to “trade a few minutes of conversation for leaving [his] toddler alone.”

According to the vice president, “nearly all” of the protestors agreed, and “it was a mostly respectful conversation.”

Vance did, however, add, “If you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re an s–t person.”

According to WXIX, many streets in the Walnut Hills area were closed, and others had checkpoints added in preparation for the vice president’s arrival. The purpose of Vance’s trip to Cincinnati is not immediately clear.
