CINCINNATI (WISH) — This year, Kroger is helping customers adjust to the lost hour of sleep caused by daylight saving time with the launch of its first-ever Kroger Hour Back Box .
Beginning Tuesday, March 4, customers can receive one of 39,000 free breakfast boxes containing popular “Our Brands” breakfast essentials designed to make mornings a little easier.
The limited-edition Kroger Hour Back Box contains breakfast favorites like Private Selection Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate, Simple Truth Oatmilk Creamer, and Kroger Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches.
Along with these items, each box contains a gift card for a one-year Kroger Boost membership, which includes benefits such as free grocery delivery, double fuel points, and special savings.
“Losing an hour of sleep during daylight saving time can disrupt parents’ and their families’ schedules,” said Tom Duncan, vice president and head of marketing at Kroger, in a statement.
“We created the Kroger Hour Back boxes to make daylight saving a little easier, helping parents and their families jump start the day with customer-favorite, morning time foods — from a much needed cup of coffee to a filling breakfast sandwich.”
Customers can claim a free Hour Back Box by clicking here starting at 12 p.m. EST on March 4. The boxes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
For those who missed out on the Hour Back Box, Kroger will offer 39,000 free breakfast items beginning March 7 at 12 p.m. EST.
Customers can redeem a digital coupon for a free item, such as Private Selection Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate, Simple Truth Oatmilk Creamer, or Kroger Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches. The coupon is redeemable at any Kroger Family of Stores or online at Kroger.com.
Kroger also provides additional savings through its Boost by Kroger Plus membership, which can save customers up to $1,100 per year on gas, exclusive discounts, and grocery delivery.
Hoosiers will “spring forward” an hour on Sunday, March 9. Daylight Saving Time starts at 2 a.m. That’s when local time shifts to 3 a.m. It’s also a perfect time to reset your clocks.
