Thousands of households in the United States rely on their VA disability check as their primary source of income. As a result, knowing when each of these payments arrives can be a huge help when it comes to organizing purchases, paying bills, and keeping track of all expenses.
So, in just a week, we will be able to receive one of the new VA Disability payments, as the payment schedule for the month of February has already been released. In this case, there is a minor irregularity, as these checks would normally be sent on March 1st, but they will be sent earlier.
The truth is that if we take into account that VA Disability checks are sent on the 1st of each month, we find that there is an irregularity in the calendar for these first months of the year. There is nothing to worry about, as it is possible to get the payment as usual.
VA Disability payment in February 2025
Payments for this benefit, as previously stated, should be sent on March 1st, but because March 1st is a weekend, the Administration sends these checks to the beneficiaries earlier. Thus, the 28th of the month will be the day of shipment, allowing those who have Direct Deposit activated to receive this check prior to shipment.

Furthermore, it is possible to receive an additional payment on the same day. If we are eligible for another benefit, we may receive an additional payment on February 28th. However, this is not available to all Americans; rather, it is limited to a specific group of people who meet all of the Social Security Administration’s criteria.
Extra payment for VA Disability on February 28th
To receive this additional payment from Social Security on February 28th, we must meet two requirements: be 65 years of age or older or have a disability, as well as have a low monthly income and limited resources. Only by meeting these requirements will we be able to receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) each month.
This check is valid for both VA Disability and other regular benefits. As a result, we can combine SSI with retirement checks and other benefits, such as Social Security retirement or SSDI.
The maximum SSI payment for 2025 is $967. However, not every American is eligible for the maximum payment. To receive a good monthly check from this benefit, we must have a lower monthly income. The lower the income, the larger the SSI payment.
