A man is in police custody after a chase involving a stolen semi truck from Indiana, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
Joseph Horton, 37, was arrested following an hour and a half chase involving multiple police jurisdictions, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to deputies, Horton attempted to deter the cruisers that were following him by throwing tools out the window, such as hammers.
Responding authorities used stop sticks to end the pursuit, causing the semi to run off the road near Hamilton’s Black Street, according to deputies.
Horton was charged with failure to comply and receiving stolen property, with additional charges pending.
