80s singer discovered 'beaten to death and lying in a pool of blood' in an abandoned car

80s singer P. Fluid, real name Peter Forrest, has tragically been found dead at the age of 64.

The lead singer and founding member of the heavy metal rock band 24-7 Spyz was reportedly found in a horrific state – ‘lying in a pool of blood’ in an abandoned vehicle in the Bronx, New York.

He is believed to have been discovered on Monday afternoon (Jan. 13) in the back of a private ambulette bus, which is designed to transport disabled passengers.

The front door of the vehicle was shattered, indicating that it had been abandoned in the area for some time.

According to MailOnline, police found Forrest unconscious and unresponsive after responding to a 911 call, and emergency services pronounced him dead on the scene.

Forrest was reportedly a driver for Marquis Ambulette, the company that owned the vehicle. His colleagues became worried when they didn’t hear from him during the day.

According to reports, Forrest was last seen at 8 a.m. on Monday and did not show up for his scheduled pickup. According to the Daily Star, a coworker was unable to contact Forrest by phone but was able to locate his ambulette in the Bronx.

According to Rolling Stone, Forrest suffered “trauma around the body,” and the New York Police Department ruled his death a homicide. No arrests have been made, but police are actively investigating the death.

P. Fluid co-founded the band 24-Spyz, which he formed in 1986.

The group’s distinct blend of heavy metal, rock, funk, jazz, reggae, and rap earned them the opportunity to open for Jane’s Addiction in 1990 and 1991.

After Forrest left the band, his replacement, Jimi Hazel, praised his stage presence in an interview with Rolling Stone, saying, “He brought a sense of reckless abandon, but in a fun way.” He was climbing the rafters.

When he wanted to, he could sing. But he became more into screaming and shouting.”

Forrest was also instrumental in establishing the Black Rock Coalition, a New York-based nonprofit organization that promotes black musicians’ creative freedom and work.
