On November 13, 2024, the next payment from Social Security will be sent. It will be worth $4,873. A very small number of Americans will get because not many workers can meet all the requirements set by the Administration. As a result, you can tell that it is a very difficult challenge. Also, it might come to you on or after November 13, depending on when you were born.
There are a few things you need to check to see if you can get your Social Security payment on November 13. If you got any of the payments on November 1, 2024, you won’t be able to get the ones on November 13, 20, or 27.
$4,873 paydays and eligibility for Social Security checks
People born before November 11 will get their next payment of up to $4,873 on November 13. They will get checks or direct deposits in the mail. Of course, you:
- cannot be a recipient of Supplemental Security Income
- cannot have received Social Security before May 1997 and
- must stick to SSA rules once you file and get approval
If you were born between November 11th and November 20th and meet all the other requirements, your next payment will be sent to you on November 20, 2024. If your birthday is between November 21 and November 30, 2024, you will get a payment on November 27, 2024.
$4,873 eligibility for such a large Social Security amount
It will take two more steps for people who have worked for 35 years and filed at age 70 to get up to $4,873 in 2024. Two requirements are having earned at least the taxable maximum for 35 years and having a job that is covered by SSA.
If you have most of these things but filed when you were 62, you can only get up to $2,710.Even so, you will save a lot of money since you won’t be getting any delayed credits.
If you file your taxes when you reach full retirement age in 2024, you may get up to $3,822. Up until December 2024, these will be the biggest amounts. But the increase in the COLA in 2025 will make them even higher, the SSA said.
